First, is all the cute things Brooklyn says. I am remembering today her first phrase, Christmas '09: "ee-ih-go" (translation: here you go). Now she says tons of things. The cute one from this weekend is "Come here, my elephant." She loves her stuffed animals and babies. She also loves having her picture taken and looking at herself. She will even declare "Cute!" as appropriate.
Yesterday was also a milestone because she actually talked to someone on the phone. We had just gotten back from a walk so she was excited and Matt was talking to his dad. She, of course, said "Hi Grandpa" (as prompted). Then (with some more prompting) she told Grandpa that on our walk we saw "bu-ee" (bunny) and it went "hop, hop, hop" and we saw a "hi cat!" and it said "meow." If only we had video chat, Grandpa could have seen here demonstrate the hop, hop, hop of the bunny.
That is another thing that amazes me is her physical abilities. I remember when she could hardly roll over without bonking her head. This morning, she leaned over until her head touched the ground and then took her arms away. So she was standing in a sort of triangle shape, supported by feet and head. Then she just rolled out of it onto her side and back. Amazing!
