WA Adventures - part 4? (I'm losing count)

Seattle

My favorite sight in Seattle is the International Fountain at Seattle Center. In the middle of a field is a large cement crater with walkways going down into it. In the center is a large, half-dome with many fountains shooting out of it. I don't remember this before but there is music playing too. There is a great view of the Space Needle (that doesn't cost $22 per person). And every type of person you could see passes by. :) It really gives a complete Seattle experience.

We spent a few hours there - long enough to create a tan line on my feet. Then went to Pike Place Market. I must have been in a bad mood last time I went because when Truman fell asleep on the way, I was happy to stay with him while the others checked out the market.

From there we went to Issaquah to meet the reason for this whole trip - Savannah Young! And Kevin. He was there too. As much as I have been a little nervous to meet this new sister/daughter-in-law, her home and family were so comfortable it was hard to be anything but. We had pizza and played with their dog and all my freshly bathed kids (we stopped at Emily's hotel to rest and bathe them) played in the dirt. We didn't get the one-on-one conversation with Kevin and Savannah we're still hoping for but it was good to be with family - hers and ours - and have fun.

After putting the kids in bed, Matt and I went to Baskin Robbins to satisfy his craving (no, I'm pretty sure he's not pregnant) for strawberry ice cream. And since there are THIRTY-ONE flavors, we got a scoop of Butter Pecan too. I'm still happy about that. Mmm.

Mmm.
